I have been playing with light lately, both off camera flash and ambient lighting only . Here are two recent shots I have been playing with.

One off camera flash at 90 degrees to the left of the bulb. Three ambient lights one to the left, one to the right and one behind.
That piano shot would have been perfect for my post about Jack not wanting to practice 🙂
Lighting is the part that I struggle with the most. It never occurred to me to light the shot from all angles like you did in the second one. I love the results.
