Back in February, we joined an amazing group of Ottawa Wedding Professionals in a giveaway called, “How do I say I love you” contest. This was an engagement/wedding giveaway put together by Ottawa Flowers, in conjunction with The Westin Ottawa, La Maison D’Or Jewelers, Black Thorn Cafe, York Street Spa and Robinson Limousine. This package was worth $4000 and went to this amazing couple of Amanda and Ryan.
Amanda and Ryan are getting married later in June and when we first started planning their engagement shoot back in March, it was hard to imagine that we could possibly have such lush greenery and soaring temperatures. We decided to meet downtown on the Market and include their 18 month old daughter in some of the images as she is just as much a part of this union as Amanda and Ryan. It was a gorgeous hot Spring day and the Market was full of locals and tourists enjoying the fabulous weather. We managed to find a few places that weren’t too crowded and certainly had our share of onlookers wondering who this celebrity couple was having a photographer following them around.
I just love that within minutes I could see how much love there is between Amanda and Ryan and the love they give to their sweet little girl. They stood up well to the heat and we had lots of laughs and smiles and I pray they have as amazing weather for their Wedding Day as we did for the engagement session.
We took a walk past The Westin Ottawa who included a night’s stay for the happy couple. And visited the Canal, which was full of sun bathers and boat lovers and tourists both local and from afar.
We also made sure to pop in to the patio of The Black Thorn Cafe, who included a dinner package. It was a little hot outside, but cool and refreshing inside.
