I first met Jacquie a few years ago now at a party of mutual friends. We chatted and got to know each other and over the years our friendship has grown through the use of social media and meeting for dinner with an amazing group of Ladies. Rarely do we chat on the phone though, so when my phone rang this past Winter and Jacquie’s name popped up, I immediately was worried that something was wrong. It couldn’t have been further from the truth as in reality everything was right. Jacquie and Klaus has gotten engaged.
I hadn’t met Klaus yet, but had heard so many wonderful things at dinners I couldn’t wait to meet the man that put such a fabulous smile on Jacquie’s face. I was honored when Jacquie asked if I would capture their wedding later this Summer, it will be a perfect day for the two of them to celebrate together with their families.
We decided to do the engagement session in Manotick at The Mill as it is not far from where they relax and enjoy time together with friends. We had a perfect June evening, not too hot and a beautiful sunset. Getting to know Klaus more was one of the highlights of the engagement session, although we had met a few times now, I can see how happy the two of them are together and how much love they have for each other.
Looking forward to the end of Summer has never happened to me before, but I can honestly say that capturing these two on their wedding day will make the end of summer just that much sweeter.
