Please let me introduce Rebecca & Mike. This gorgeous couple is celebrating a December Wedding this year and wanted to capture a bit of winter in their engagement photos. We almost had a day of no snow at all, but a light dusting the night before reminded us that indeed it is still winter and not quite spring yet. When we were trying to decide where to meet for this session we got talking about the Centrum in Kanata as it will be close to their wedding venue and we may want to venture out for some night time wedding party photos with the trees lit up for Christmas. Once we had decided to give it a try, they realized that they this is where they had had their first date! It seemed like the perfect setting to capture them as a family and a couple.
We almost had the Centrum to ourselves and enjoyed watching a few bystanders wonder who this fabulous (possibly famous) couple was having their pictures taken. We ventured into the Central Bierhaus to ask if we could take a few pictures inside as this was where their first date took place. The staff and manager were absolutely amazing, they welcomed us and congratulated Rebecca and Mike with a couple of beers to toast their engagement. Such an amazing location, I look forward to returning for a lunch or dinner without my cameras.
A huge thank you to Rebecca and Mike for allowing me to capture them together prior to their Wedding Day. Engagement sessions are so important for both the couple and the photographer as it allows us to get to know each other and for the couple to be comfortable on their Wedding Day, which always results in more relaxed photos.
