Last Wednesday night I had the opportunity to attend the #TweetOutHunger and #DiaperDrive event put on at the Hard Rock Café by a group of wonderful people. Mike Machargo Sales, Marketing & Community Rep for Hard Rock Ottawa, Wendy Leung from Beyond Events, Alex Surrett from Surreal Marketing, Stéphanie Montreuil and Candace Derrickx put together a fabulous event for such amazing causes.
Amanda Rheaume, Ana Miura and Tara Holloway represented Babes 4 Breasts and provided us with some lovely live entertainment. It was truly amazing to listen to them sing and know that they contribute to such awesome causes.
It was amazing to see all the food and diapers brought in from a large group of people who communicate mostly on Twitter. Although there were some familiar faces there were also quite a few people that I hadn’t met before. Warms the heart to know that so many people wanted to come out for an evening to help those who need a little extra help.
Neil from EZRock was our MC, thank you Neil for coming out for such an amazing cause. Lots of prizes were handed out, and a silent Auction was held to raise more money and all in all it was just a fabulous night.
