Every Fall, Anna Epp Photography joins Jacquie Bushell in celebrating The Giving Tree. Each year Jacquie hosts an amazing party in December with friends and colleagues, where everyone comes together in support of select charities and offers donations of cash and gift cards that are left under The Giving Tree. The last two years there has also been a silent auction and a live auction with items donated from amazing people and businesses.
This year the charities that have been selected are The Children’s Aid Foundation – Cookie Jar Fund and the Youville Women’s Centre – Operation Come Home. Each year, Jacquie chooses charities that are close to her heart and that do not receive additional government funding.
With cell phone cameras among us, many people feel that they have plenty of pictures of themselves, until they are asked to print one or send one to someone special. Then they take a true look and realize that they either don’t exist in many photographs because they are the ones taking the picture or that the photographs they have are mostly fun, random moments at the coffee shop.
Having your portraits done professionally, whether it is every year or every five years, is important. Not just for you, but for others who want to see you as you are today. Many couples I meet admit to not having their portraits done in recent years, most citing their wedding as the last time.
Jacquie and I have come together this year to offer a one-day Portrait Event in honor of The Giving Tree. Portraits are so important to have done for so many reasons and they make the perfect gift for Christmas.
This year we will be hosting our very first Giving Tree Portrait Event at the fabulous LENZ Studios on Merivale Road on Saturday, November 12, 2016. LENZ Studios is an amazing new studio space in Ottawa for photographers and creatives alike and offers not just a studio space for photoshoots, but a space for meetings and events as well. We are looking forward to having you all at LENZ Studios for this amazing event.
Appointments will be scheduled on a first come first served basis starting at 10am. Sessions are 30 minutes in length and the session fees will be $150 including hst. You will receive one 8×10 of your choice included in your session fee. Additional prints, holiday cards and holiday packages will be available to you at your viewing session. $100 from each session fee will be donated to The Giving Tree.
