How would you like to be Photographed?
Starting out the New Year has been wonderful! 2016 was another great year and I as I said in my last post, I am filled with gratitude for all that it brought into my life. Although I have never been one to list my goals (personal or business) for the year for all to see, I do indeed set them. January is usually a time to look at which ones were met in the past year and if they weren’t what can I do differently to reach them.
One of my goals for this year that I don’t mind sharing is to ask more often of my clients, how would you like to be photographed? And there are two ways you can look at this question. One is that I am asking you if you would like to be photographed and the other is in what way would you like to have me photograph you. Depending on what your need or desire is, I would like to make sure that you get exactly what you are looking for.
If your need is to have a new head shot for your business purposes, would you like to have in-studio simple backgrounds that can be implemented for different situations or would you like to be captured in your work environment with your offices or a mix of both? Do you need more branding images for your website to go along with your head shot? Do you need product shots to use on instagram or in a shop? All of these needs can be taken care of by me but also, I wouldn’t know what exactly you are looking for if I don’t ask the question, how would you like to be photographed?
If your desire is for new portraits, would you like to be photographed formally or casually, how do you see your portraits taking shape, with family or without? Is this something just for you or is it a gift for others? If I ask this question, how would you like to be photographed? more often, I feel I will get to know you a little bit more and this will translate into even better portraits.
