Meet the Emblin’s. I met this gorgeous family in the winter of 2016, when they were newly engaged and planning their winter wedding for December 2017. We enjoyed a very wintry engagement session and a subsequent winter wedding. After so much winter, it was amazing to be able to capture them in a warm and much more summery environment. They came out to our Farmhouse location for an outdoor maternity and family session. While Rebecca was glowing, we saw this as an opportunity to capture the whole family before the arrival of the newest family member.
Don’t let the lush greenery and soft skies fool you, it was a very hot June day, a rare one last summer, for sure. It was truly a pleasure to invite them to the Farmhouse. In addition to an indoor studio, there is also this amazing backdrop surrounding the Farmhouse that is perfect for any outdoor session. Lush trees, wide expanses of fields and a few old barns make up our property and we really enjoy holding sessions here as each one is different depending on the time of day and time of year.
Rebecca and Mike have been such a joy to both get to know and to work with. Photographing their milestones has been such a treat for me, knowing how important it is for them to have photographs to share with family and friends who live farther away has made each session a memorable one. I look forward to sharing images from their newborn session later in the summer.
